Vacheron Constantin’s in-house master watchmaker and engraver demonstrate their skills in fine watchmaking, including the assembling of a movement and hand-engraving.
4th May 17:00
Gemmologist and jewellery author Joanna Hardy will explore The Wonderful World of Gemstones at the Van Cleef & Arpel Bond Street Boutique. A chance to explore the art of cutting and setting and see a selection of High Jewellery pieces from Van Cleef & Arpels collection.
Bloomin’ Jewels at Contemporary Applied Arts
3-6th May 10:00 — 18:00
Bloomin’ Jewels explores the role of botanical forms as a powerful reference point for contemporary jewellers, working in both precious and non-precious media. This exhibition at Contemporary Applied Arts in Bankside features over twenty makers from diverse practices, and has been guest curated for CAA by Corinne Julius, Journalist and acknowledged authority on contemporary jewellery.
Creating a Collection at Boodles
4th May 18:00
Boodles is one of the oldest and most respected jewellers in the UK, and here is an opportunity to preview Boodles latest high jewellery collection; ‘The Poetry of Landscape’. discuss the creative processes involved in making the collection.
Shaun Leane on Alexander McQueen at Sarabande Foundation
4th May 19:00
British jewellery designer, Shaun Leane, explores what the power of imagination has in fuelling the creative process. Learn about his seventeen years of collaboration with Lee Alexander McQueen and how, together, they produced some of fashion’s most ground-breaking catwalk creations.

3rd May 15:00 – 17:00
Contemporary fine jewellery designer Tessa Packard alongside goldsmith Russell Hart show how designer and goldsmith work together, co-hosted by Charlie Boyd, Executive Jewellery Editor at Harper’s Bazaar. Alongside afternoon tea, guests will also have the chance to design their own pair of bespoke earrings to be made by Russell after the event.
And last but not least a rather exciting sounding event at my favourite Japanese restaurant in the heart of Mayfair:
Dinner at UMU with Toru Horiguchi and Kazuya Ishida
3rd May 18.30 – 22:30
The Two Michelin star chef Yoshinori Ishii hosts a nine-course Kaiseki dinner at his Japanese restaurant Umu with sake pairing. This is accompanied by a talk about the tableware used to present the restaurant’s food which is all designed and handmade by Ishii.
