With so many interesting designs at different price points to choose from, I love trying on the rings, selecting my favourite and of course, sharing with you. When I was in Paris, I learned the marquise diamond cut was originally designed in the 18th century upon commission by King Louis XV to resemble the lips of his mistress, Jeanne Antoinette Poisson, the Marchioness Madame de Pompadour.

The HN Jewelry Engagement Ring has 8 Marquise Shaped Diamonds with 0.48ct and 8 Round Brilliant Cut Diamonds with 0.24ct set in 14k rose gold! A marquise ranks higher than a count but lower than a duke. Its name comes from courtiers who wore marquise cut diamonds to show off their rank.
